Short version: we collect what we need to review your brief or application and make an introduction, we use it for that, and we do not sell it. The service is operated by [legal entity].

What we collect

When you send a project brief, we collect what you type into the form: the service category, a title and description, a budget range, a timeline, your name and email address, and an optional reference link. There is no account, password or phone number.

When you apply as a freelancer, we collect your specialty, a description of your experience, your portfolio link, case studies, reference details, credentials, your typical project range and availability, and your name and email address. Reference details may include other people's names and contact information that you choose to give us; give them only with the referee's permission.

Our hosting provider records ordinary technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, which it uses to run and secure the service. This site does not use advertising trackers or third party analytics scripts.

How we use it

  • To review your brief and identify a suitable freelancer, or to review your application against the published admission requirements.
  • To contact you about your brief or application, including questions and the introduction itself.
  • To share the relevant brief details with the freelancer we introduce, at the point of introduction and not before.
  • To contact your references and check evidence you supplied, if you applied as a freelancer.
  • To keep a record of introductions and outcomes so the service works.

Who sees it

Submissions are read by the people at FHIRE who review them. A freelancer sees your brief only when we introduce you. We use service providers to run the business, currently hosting and database infrastructure and, where enabled, a transactional email provider; they process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We do not sell personal information, share it with advertisers or add you to unrelated marketing lists. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

How long we keep it

We keep briefs and applications while we are working with you, and afterwards only as long as needed for legitimate business or legal purposes. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@fhire.com. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights, for example under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in that law.

Security

Submissions travel over an encrypted connection and are stored with access limited to the people who review them. No system is perfectly secure, so do not send sensitive personal information such as government identification numbers or payment details through the forms.

Children

FHIRE is for business use and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy we update the date at the top. Material changes are communicated to anyone with an open brief or application.
